Նիկողոսեան, որ կազմել է Լենինականի գաւառական բառերի հաւաքածուն, անտիպ), Ուրիշ ամէն տեղ այս վարձը կոչւում է շա-հադ, որի ծագումը ըստ իս հետևեալ ձևով է Նախ շառատ բառը հայերէնից անցել է թուր-քերէնի. այստեղ ժողովրդական ստուգաբա-նությամբ դարձել է šahad, իբր թէ արաբ šahad «վկայ», որից յետոյ յետ դառնալով անցել է հայերէնի։
