[arabic word] babasir (Будaговъ 1, 272), վերջաձայնի փոփոխութեամբ թթր. և Ատրպտ. թրք. [arabic word] babasil, որ յետոյ հյ. մասուր բա-ռի ազդեցութեամբ դարձել է mayasər կամ maуnsəl։ Պէտք է նկատի ունենալ որ ժողո-վուրդը երբեմն կեղծ ստուգաբանութեամբ մի բանի անունից դեղ է հնարում. օր. լտ. as-trutium «օճառախոտ»ը փռշտալու դէմ դեղ դարձաւ. Իտալացիք սամիթի խաշուն աչքի հիւանդութեանց իբր դեղ են գործածում, ստուգաբանելով finocchio «սամիթ» բառը fino occhio «վասն աչաց» (Ernout-Meillet 77-8).
