[arabic word] ba-kār āmadan «գործի գալ»։ Այս ստուգաբանութիւնը, որի վրայ ծանրանում է նաև Մանանդեան՝ անդ, բոլորովին զուրկ է արժէքից (Մա-նանդեան, Տեղեկ. ինստ. 2, 37 երկու տարբեր բառեր է համարում փալթար, պեկար «հողային հարկ» <պրս. pāikar և բեկար «պարտադիր ձրի աշխատանք» <պրս. bekār) և յառաջացած է նոր պրս. bekar հնչման ազդեցութիւնից։
