• ՆՀԲ կաքաւ թռչունի դէմ դնում է պրս. [arabic word] čakāv «արտոյտ», թրք. keklik և եբր. qōre «կաքաւ», որոնք մեր բառի հետ նմանութիւն չունին, իսկ կաքաւ «պար» ձևի դէմ յիշում է պրս. [arabic word] kākāv «մի տեսակ երախայական խաղ», որ նշանակութեամբ չի յարմար-ւում։ Մ. Մսերեան, Ճռաքաղ Գ. էջ 104 մեկնում է «կագող հաւ»։-Lag, Ges.
