ՀԱ 1896, 183 և 1897, 244, 248, որ մերժում է Հիւբշ, էջ xx ծան։ Մէնէվիշ. այնուհետև ՀԱ 1905, 347 համեմատում է ածուղ= ռուս. угoль, գերմ. Kohle «ածուխ», Հիւնք. ծաղիկ բառից։ Կուրտիկեան, Ճէ-րիտ. շարգ. л 3273 պրս. ասուղտէ «երտ»։ Pederien ՀԱ 1905, 348 համե-մատելով հսլ. ռոա. սնս. ձևերի հետ, աւելի հակամէտ է ընդունելու իբր= գերմ. Kohle, իռլ. gual «ածուղ»՝ զ ձայ-նով, առանց կարենալու բացատրել խ ձայնը։ Ածուխ բառի պատմութիւնը արել է Կէտիկեան ՀԱ 1905, էջ 346-8։ Վերջին անգամ Թիրեաքեան, Արիահայ բռ. դը-նում է պրս. [arabic word] asūx «չվառած, չեփած»։
