• ՆՀԲ. ՋԲ և ԱԲ բառս դնում են նա։ մալխ ձևով. սակայն սա ենթադրուած է մալխոյ սեռականից և գոյութիւն չունի. ուղղականն է միայն մալուխ, ինչպէս ունին Երզն. մտթ. Յայսմ։-ՆՀԲ և սրան հետևելով ԱԲ մալուխ բառը հասկանում են նաև «ուղտ» իմաստով։ Այսպէս նաև հներից ոմանք, ինչ. Բրս. մրկ. 83, 84. Դիւրին է մալխոյ, այսինքն ուղտու. .. Տէրն ազաց թէ մալխոն (1), որ է ուղտ. Դրնղ. 458։ Բայց այս բանը թիւր-իմացութեան արդիւնք է։ Արդարև Մտթ. ժթ. 24, Մրկ. ժ. 25, Ղուկ. ժը. 25 «Դիւ-րին է մալխոյ մտանել ընդ ծակ աս-ղան» հատուածում մալուխ բառի դէմ յոյն բնագիրն ունի ϰάμηλος, որ նշա-նակում է «ուղտ», ինչպէս գտնում ենք Աւետարանի բոլոր նոր թարգմանու-թեանց մէջ։ Ուղտը ասեղի ծակից անց կացնելու համեմատութիւնը անշուշտ ա-րևելեան ընթացիկ մի պատկեր էր, որ գտնում ենք նաև Ղուրանի մէջ (է. 38)։ Յիսուսի օրինակով Մուհամմէդ էլ ասում է. «Ամբարիշտն՝ որ հպարտութեամբն իւրով համարեսցի սուտ զվարդապե-տութիւն մեր, գտցէ զդրունս երկնից փակեալս։ Մտցէ նա անդր՝ յորժամ ուղտ մի անցանիցէ ընդ ծակ ասղան միոյ»։ Բայց մեր հայրերը նոյն յն. բառի տեղ գտնելով ϰάμιλος «չուան» կամ իրենք այսպէս կարդալով՝ թարգմանել են մա-լուխ «չուան»։ Ըստ Boisacq (էջ 403 ծան.) յունաց մէջ էլ ձգտում եղած է Աւետառանի ϰάμηλος «ուղտ» բառը կարդալու ϰαμιλος «չուան», իբրև տե-ղին աւելի յարմար։-Սխալւում են ՆՀԲ և միւսները կարծելով որ հյ. մալուխ նշանակում է «ուղտ», թէև սրանով մել
• թարգմանութիւնը ուղիղ է դուրս բեր-ւում։ Թէ մեր հայրերը յիշեալ յոյն բա-ռը «չուան» են հասկացել՝ ապացուցւում է նրանով, որ նախ՝ մալուխ բառը այլ-ուր միշտ «չուան» նշանակութւինն ու-նի. այսպէս՝ Զնաւկնեարն մալխօք իբր ի կղզւոջ կապեալ հանգուցանէին. Պտմ. աղէքս.-Կտրել զմալուխս առագաստին. Յայսմ.-մինչև ի կտրել զմալուխս (գրուած զմամուլս) առագաստին. Ճա-ռընտ.։ Երկրորդ՝ հայ մեկնիչները գի-տեն որ այս հատուածում «ուղտ»-ի մա-սին ակնարկութիւն կայ, բայց այդ վե-րագրում են ուրիշ լեզուների. այսպէս Մեկն. ղկ.-«Յոյնն ուղտ ասէ մալխոյն, որ նշանակէ զթիւրս և զկորուսեալս վատթար գործովք»։ Երզն. մտթ. 412-«Ջուղտն մալուխ կոչէ արասացին և այլք զնաւատոռն (տպ. նաւատորմիլ) նաւու ասեն մալուխ»։ Այս վկայութիւն-ները ցոյց են տալիս՝ որ հյ. մալուխ «ուղտ» ձևով բառ գոյութիւն չունի։-ՆՀԲ ստուգաբանելով բառս գրում է՝ «փոխադրութեամբ տառից լինի խամուլ, խամլ, այն է յայլ լեզուս յն. ϰάμηλος լտ. camelus, եբր. gamal, արաբ. ja-mal»։ Lag. Btrg. baktr. Lex. 46 զնդ. manōϑri «գլուխ»։ Հիւնք. թրք. մալախ «ռոմէշի ձագ»։
• ԳՒՌ.-Երև. մալուխ, Ալշ. Մշ. մալոխ «փայտի կեռ կտոր՝ որ լուծի փոկին են անց-կացնում, որպէսզի կապը չբացուի». Խտջ. մալօխ «փայտէ սեպ, որ գործածում են զա-նազան նպատակներով, ինչպէս չուանի կա-պը ամրացնելու, տրեխը ծակելու, էշ մխտե-լու ևն». վերջին առումից է մալխել «էշը խթանով խթել»։ (Կ. Սարաֆեան, Բանալի գիտութ. 1788, էջ 107 ունի արդէն «սեպ կամ մալոխ, клинъ»)։
• ԳՒՌ.-Երև. մամուխ «մի տեսակ թթու-անպէտք պտուղ է», Արբ. մամուխ «թրք. ճան էրիյի կոչուած սալորը», Ղզ. Պրտ. մա-մուխ «վայրի սալոր», Ակն. մամօխ, Ասլ. մամէօ՛խ, Սվեդ. մmմէօխ «վայրի սալոռ». Մշ. մամոխ «խակ» (օր. Կեռասը մամոխ է). Ատ. մամուգ-սալօր (<մամուկ-սալոր, իմա-մամուխ-սալոր) «դամոն», որից Ղք. մա-մըխկի «մի տեսակ ծառ, մամխի»։-Մա-մուխ «սալոր» բառից որոշ պատկերաւո-րութեամբ յառաջացած է Ննխ. մամուխ «բունոց», որի համար հմմտ. Ղրբ. ծիրան և թրք. շէֆթալի «դեղձ» պտղանունները, որոնք փոխաբերաբար ստացել են նաև «բու-նոց» նշանակութիւնը։

Գ. ի. «Տեսէք ածուղ, որով երկաթ շողացուսցուք... բերին ածուղ, որով խարէին զաչսն Տիրանայ»։ Ածուխ բառը Ողբ. եդ. 8 գործածուած է «մուր»իմաստով. «Թխա-ցան քան զածուխ տեսիլք իւրեանց (յն. άა-βόλην, որ է մուր)»։ Նոր գրականում և բար-բառներում գործածական է միայն «ածուխ» ևմաստով, որից քարածուխ, հանքածուխ, փայտածուխ, ածխագործ, ածխանոց, ածխա-վաճառ, ածխավաճառանոց, բնածուխ, ած-խահանք, ածխաթթու, ածխակոյտ, ածխային ևն։ Բառի հնագոյն ձևն է ածուղ, ինչպէս կայ գործածուած չորս անգամ Բուզ. Գ. ի և այ-լուր. ղ ձայնը գտնուելով բառի վերջում և թերևս ազդուելով ծուխ բառից՝ դարձել է յետոյ խ. այսպէս է ընդունում նաև Հիւբշ. Die altarm. Ortsnamen, 395 ծան.

[arabic word] azax կամ [arabic word] āzaγ «հօտեցեալ այրելի ճիւղք որթոց»։ Նոյնը նաև Մէնէվիշ. ՀԱ 1896, 183 և 1897, 244, 248, որ մերժում է Հիւբշ, էջ xx ծան։ Մէնէվիշ. այնուհետև ՀԱ 1905, 347 համեմատում է ածուղ= ռուս. угoль, գերմ. Kohle «ածուխ», Հիւնք. ծաղիկ բառից։ Կուրտիկեան, Ճէ-րիտ. շարգ. л 3273 պրս. ասուղտէ «երտ»։ Pederien ՀԱ 1905, 348 համե-մատելով հսլ. ռոա. սնս. ձևերի հետ, աւելի հակամէտ է ընդունելու իբր= գերմ. Kohle, իռլ. gual «ածուղ»՝ զ ձայ-նով, առանց կարենալու բացատրել խ ձայնը։ Ածուխ բառի պատմութիւնը արել է Կէտիկեան ՀԱ 1905, էջ 346-8։ Վերջին անգամ Թիրեաքեան, Արիահայ բռ. դը-նում է պրս. [arabic word] asūx «չվառած, չեփած»։
