Վրք. հց. խոռոչանալ Ա-զաթ. անխոռ «անեղծ, ամբողջական» Սարգ. ա. պետր. է, էջ 293։ Այս արմատից է դար. ձեալ խոռնոքիլ «մարմինը որևէ հարուածով վնասուիլ, խեղիլ» (մասնիկի համար հմմտ. բարւոք). այս բառը յիշում է միայն ՀՀԲ «սպանել, կտրատել, խողխողել» նշանակու-թեամբ՝ առանց վկայութեան. մէկ անգամ գտնում եմ գործածուած Յայսմ. յնվ. 18, Թէոդոս թագաւորի պատմութեան մէջ. «15 հառար արք խոցեցան, 7000 մեռան և 8000 խոռնոքեցան և խեղեցան»։

[arabic word] ustuvān «հաստատուն. 2. հա-ւատք»։ Նոյն արմատից xva-մասնիկով ձե-ւացած է xvast-, որից հյ. խոստ. սրանից -uk մասնիկով՝ պհլ. xvastūk, որից հյ. խոստուկ և պրս. xustu. և վերջապէս ana, an մասնիկով՝ զնդ. *xvastavana, պհլ. *xvastavān կամ *xvastuvān, պրս. xustu-van, որից հյ. խոստովան։ (Պարզ stu ար-մատի բնիկ հայ համապատասխանութեանո վրայ տե՛ս թովել)։-Հիւբշ. 161։

• ՆՀԲ լծ. հյ. գրգլեակ, թրք. խըրխա և քիւրք «մուշտակ» (իմա՛ արաբ. [arabic word] ︎ xirqa «վերարկու», թրք. [arabic word] kurk «մուշտակ»)։ Հիւնք. գործ բառից։ Bug-ge IF 1, 448 հսլ. skora «կաշի, մորթ», լեհ. skorka «հացի, պտուղների կեղև» բառերին է միացնում. հյ. բառը նախա-պէս *խորկ ձևն ունէր, ուր վերջաձայնը նախաձայնին վերածուելով՝ յառաջացե։ է խորխ։ Նոյնը կրկնում է Walde 192՝ կցելով լտ. corium, հիսլ. hogrundr. սանս. krtti-«կաշի, մորթ» ևն բառե-րին։
• ՓՈԽ.-Չեչէն. խորխո «թաւիշ», կիւրին. xur «կաշի, մորթ», քրդ. [arabic word] xur «մորթ. կաշի» (վերջինս Justi, Dict. Kurde 162 հա-մեմատում է մեր բառի հետ՝ որ սխալմամբ գրում է խորք)։-Այս բառերի համեմատու-թիւնը սակայն այնպէս է, որ աւելի ենթա-դրել է տալիս թէ բոլորը միասին խալդեան կամ մի ուրիշ աղբիւրից են։

Պլ. խօսդէլ, Զթ. խուս-տուկ «կծու ցաւ», խիսդգիլ «խոստել»,-նոր բառեր են խոցաւոր «սգաւոր», խոցոտիլ, խոստկոտիլ, խոստկահար, նաև խոց «փտու-թեան նշաններ պտուղների վրայ»։-Այմ վերջինի հետ կապ չունի խեց Երև. «խաղո-զի և այլ պտուղների հասնելու նշան երևելը» (Ամատ. Հալոզ բառ ու բան, էջ 275), որ պէտք է հասկանալ խէծ<խայծ (տե՛ս այս բառը)։ Խրբ. խօսդուգ «փորի ևն ցաւ», բա-յական ձևով Խրբ. խոսդալ, Սչ. խօսդ'ել։

• ԳՒՌ.-Արդի ժողովրդական լեզւում շատ սովորական դարձաւ խուժան ձևը։ Բառիս առաջին իմաստն էր «թալանչի ամբոխ՝ որ դնում էր ջարդարար խմբերի յետևից». յե-տոյ դարձաւ ընդհանրապէս «փողոցային մարդ կամ երախայ», և այժմ գործածական է իբրև նախատական ածական։ Մի քանի աարի առաջ՝ դրամական անկայունութեան մի-ջոցին, այսպէս էին կոչւում նաև մանրարժէք թղթադրամները։ Ոսկու կուրսի վերահաստա-տումով այս վերջին իմաստը վերացաւ։

• Վերջին բառը ձեռագրի մէջ ունէր խաւողամաղձական ձևը. արմատը են-թադրելով խաւող՝ Լեհ. մեկնում էր «մա-ղաս», իսկ ՆՀԲ յն. γօλή «մաղձ» կամ χαῦνος «թոյլ, մեղկ»։ Նորայր, Հայկ. բառաք. 76 ցոյց տուեց որ պէտք է ուղ-ղել խօղամաղձական։-Հիւնք. խուխ հանում է պրս. [arabic word] kuk «հազ» բառից։

• = Փոխառեալ է կովկասեան լեզուներից. հմմտ. վրաց. ხმა խմա «առնել, ընդունել, վերցնել, առնել տանիլ», ხმევა խմեվա «ուտել, խմել», ამოხმა ամոխմա «քաշել», მახმა մախմա «ընդունիլ, ստանալ, իր վրայ առնել, հանել, վերցնել».-բառիս բուն հայերէնն է ըմպել։-Աճ.

Haus «տուն», յն. ϰευϑω «ծածկել, պահել» բառերին։ Նոյնը վերջապէս ՀԱ. 1903, 151 հնխ. sku «ծածկել» արմատից. հմմտ. լտ. cutis, հբգ. hut, նբգ. Haut «մորթ», լտ. curia «տուն, ատեան», յն. ϰαλιά «խղիկ», լտ. cella «մառան» ևն բառերը։ Petersson KZ 47, 282 ընդու-նում է Patrubány-ի երրորդ մեկնութիւ-նը, բայց գտնում է որ գոթ. hūs և յն. ϰεύϑω ծագում են qeu-պրմատե» մինչդեռ հյ. խուց, ինչպէս նաև խուփ ծագում են հնխ. qheu-արմատից, ո-րից է նաև զնդ. xaoδa-«սաղաւարտ, խոյր»։ Pictet, բ. տպ.
