• «մանեւու պատրաստ ոլորած բամբակ» [arabic word] gāliya «մի տեսակ խոտ», որոնք գւռ. զալ բառին շատ մօտիկ են հնչու-մով և նշանակութեամբ։ Դարձեալ պա-տահական նմանութիւն ունի ասուր. galalu «գլորել, երերալ» (Muss-Arnolt, Ass. eng. Handwb. էջ 219) բառի հետ։
