Բ. 325). բայց յայտնի չէ թէ ի՞նչպէս պէտք է կապել այս բոլորը իրար հետ և ո՛րն է նրանց նախնա-կան աղբիւրը։ Հիմնական նշանակութիւնն է անշուշտ «ջարդոտած կտորներ», ինչ որ յա-րաբերական գաղափար է և կարող է ըմբըռ, նուել ըստ տեղւոյն «մանր, փշուր, փշրանք» և կամ «խոշոր, մեծ կռոճներով». այս վեր-չինից էլ կբխի «կոպիտ, կոշտ կամ անհարթ (խոժոռ)» գաղափարը։-Աճ.

Սեբ. խօռ «տձև, ձևահան եղած», Սեբ. «գիւղի կամ աւանի այն մուտքը՝ որ աւելի կիրճի բերան է», Խտջ. «լեռան մէջ-տեղից բացուած նեղ անցք». որից խոռատ Խտջ. Մշ. «կիսատ, կամ մէկ կողմը կոտ-րած», խոռել Ախք. (<պրս.) [arabic word] xor «անարգ, թշուառ, արհամարհ» բառի հետ, որ ազդել է բարբառների վրայ. այսպէս թրք. xor baq-maq «արհամարհել, վրան վատ աչքով նա-յիլ» և Ակն. Պլ. Ռ. Վն. խօռ նայիլ «խեթիւ նայիլ», Ակն. խօռն ի խօռը «աչքերը խոժո-ռելով, խեթիւ»։

Արծր. խոստուկ լինել «խոստովանիլ» Կղնկատ. խոստմնադրուժ, խոստմնազանց, խոստմնա-պահ, անխոստմնապահ (նոր բառեր). այս-տեղ է պատկանում նաև ոսկեդարեան գե-ղեցիկ բառս խոստաւոր «ուխտի նուէր», որ գործածուած է միայն նորագիւտ Ա. մնաց. իթ. 4 «Եթէ իցէ ոք յօժար խոստատրս բե-րել»։ Այս արմատի հետ նոյն է նաև խռսսո-վաճ, որ տե՛ս առանձին։

• ԳՒՌ.-Արդի ժողովրդական լեզւում շատ սովորական դարձաւ խուժան ձևը։ Բառիս առաջին իմաստն էր «թալանչի ամբոխ՝ որ դնում էր ջարդարար խմբերի յետևից». յե-տոյ դարձաւ ընդհանրապէս «փողոցային մարդ կամ երախայ», և այժմ գործածական է իբրև նախատական ածական։ Մի քանի աարի առաջ՝ դրամական անկայունութեան մի-ջոցին, այսպէս էին կոչւում նաև մանրարժէք թղթադրամները։ Ոսկու կուրսի վերահաստա-տումով այս վերջին իմաստը վերացաւ։
