• «մի տեսակ հաց, պաքսիմատ». մէկ անգամ գտնում եմ գործածուած Յայսմ. դեկտ. 7. «Եդ սեղան և ի ներքս 3 պաքսիմաթ և սկսան օրհնել զԱստուած և զհացն ուտել և կերեալ հայրն Անտօն զմի դոնն»։ Այս բա-ռը չունին ՆՀԲ և ԱԲ. յիշում է միայն ՋԲ դոն ձևով, իսկ ՀՀԲ թոն գրչութեամր (իբր թէ «թսն ձկան ձևով մի տեսակ հաց՝ որ յատուկ էր ճգնաւորներին. պաքսիմատ»). բայց գըտ-նում եմ Բառ. երեմ. էջ 270 պաքսիմատ ռա-ռի բացատրութեան մէջ և Թորոսեան, Տետ-րակ համառօտ բառարանի, 1794, էջ 40, իըր «պաքսիմատ» նշանակութեամբ։ Այս երկու ցուցումներից երևում է, որ բառը այն ժամա-նակ կենդանի ժողովրդական բառ էր։ Այս բանը հաստատւում է նաև նրանով, որ նուն բառի նուազական ձևը՝ դոնիկ՝ գործածական է մինչև այժմ էլ Բուլանըխի և Մշոյ բարբա-ռում և նշանակում է «կէս կանգուն երկարու-թեամբ և մի մատ հաստութեամբ մի տեսակ տափակ հաց՝ մէջտեղը ծակով» (տես իմ Գա-ւառաևան բառարանը, էջ 283-4. ունի Ամա-տունին էլ, Հայոց բառ ու բան, էջ 173 դօն (Ղազախ) և դօնիկ ձևերով)։
