Արդեամբ բառի այս գործածութիւնը նոյնանում է ճիշտ մեր արդեօք բառի հետ, որ հների մօտ ոռա-կան մտքով գործածուելով նշանակում է «իրօք, արդարև, իսկապէս, յիրաւի» ՍԳր. Ոսկ. յհ. բ. 1, Փարպ. իսկ հարցական գոր-ծածութեամբ «մի՞թէ» (բուն՝ իրա՞ւ, իրա՞ւ է որ) ՍԳր. Եղիշ. (արդի գրականում դրական գործածութիւնը իսպառ դադարել է և մնում է միայն հարցական մտքով)։ Սակայն այս արդիօք ձևը իրապէս գործիական հոլով է և ենթադրում է հնագոյն ուղ. *արդի «գործ» բառը. ZDMG 1850, 351 ար-ռար բառը կցում են սանս. rta ձևին, իսկ Böttich. Arica 13 և Justi, Zendsp. 30 զնդ. arəta «կատարեալ» բառին։ Böttich. ZDMG 1850, 366 և Lag.
