• = Բնիկ հայ բառ. հմմտ. յն. γέϰῦρα «պո-ղոտայ, յետնաբար՝ կամուրջ», որ ուրիշ բարբառներում ժողովրդական ստուգաբա-նութեամբ ստացել է διφοῦρα, δίφουρα, δέφορα, βέευρα, βιυφόρις, βλέευραν ձևերը։ Ուրիշ լեզուների մէջ պահուած չէ սոյն հնդևրոպական բառը, անշուշտ կրօնական նախապաշարմունքով, և փոխանակուած է զանազան նոր դարձւածներով. ինչ. սանս. «կապ», իրան. «անցք», լտ. «ճանապարհ» ևն։ Հալերէն ու յունարէն ձևերը ապահովա-պէս նոյն են իրար հետ, բայց իրար այն-քան աննման, որ կարելի չէ վերականգնել հնդևրոպական նախաձևը։ Jacobsohn (Wör-ter und Sachen, Kulturhistorische Zeit-schrift, հտ.
