• = Իր շատ ճոխ գործածութիւնից դատելով՝ պէտք է լինի բնիկ հայ։ Բայց որովհետև զ ձայնով սկսող հայերեն բառերը կա՛մ փո-խառութիւն են և կամ դեռ մեկնուած չեն, ուս-տի յայտնի չէ թէ ի՛նչ պիտի լինէր սրա հնխ. ձևը։ Սակայն որովհետև հնխ. g'h երկու ձայ-նաւորի միջև տալիս է հայերեն զ և բառի սկզբում տալիս է հյ. ձ, իսկ ձ դառնում է բաղաձայնի մօտ զ, ուստի կարելի է ենթա-զրել՝ որ զ ձևն էլ ծագել է հնխ. g'h-ից (այս-պէս դարձած նախ բաղաձայնով սկսող բա-ռերի մօտ և յետոյ ընդհանրացած)։ Այս մը-տածումով կարելի է մեր բառի հետ համե-մատութեան առնել հսլ. za մասնիկը, որի գործածութեան եղանակը մերին շատ է մօ-տենում. այսպէս՝ za n je= զ-ի. jetu ja za raka =կալաւ զձեռանէ նորա. za utra=զա-ռաւօտու.-հսլ. za սեռականով ցոյց է տալիտ ժամանաև և որրծողութեան պատճառը (տե՛ս Miklosich, Vergl. Gram. IV, էջ 527 ևն), հայցականով՝ գործողութեան տևողութիւնը (անդ, էջ 410 ևն), գործիականով՝ «ետևը» (հմմտ. հյ. զերիս աւուրս, զհետ, զկնի ևն)։ Թերևս սլաւական za բառին կցելու է նաև արևել. լիթ. azլ լեթթ. uz «վրայ», aiz ռետևը, պատճառաւ, յայնկոյս»։ Իսկ գոթ. ga-մասնիկը (ինչ. ga-laubǰan=գերմ. glau-ben «հաւատալ») սրանցից բաժանելով՝ կը-սում են սովորաբար լտ. com, cum, հիռլ. com, cum, con, կիմր. cyf, գալլ. com «ընդ, հետ» ձևերին. հնխ. kom (տե՛ս Walde, էջ 180)։
• Windisch. 40 գոթ. at, հբգ. az կամ գոթ. du, հբգ. zi, նբգ. zu, այն է սանս. adhi, ati, լատ. ad, բայց մանաւանդ պրս. az բացառականի մասնիկը, Lag. Urgesch. 72 զնդ. uz։ Այսպէս նաև Spiegel, Huzw. Gram. 94։ Justi սանս.

Muller, SWAW, 44, 555 պհլ. ոռռ. -ghan մասնիկի հետ։ Բառիս վրայ ընդարձակ խօսած և վերի ձևով մեկնած է Meillet, MSL, 9, 52-55։ Հիւբշ. 446, կարելի, բայց ոչ ապահով է գտնում այս մեկնութիւնը, որովհետև նշանա-կութեանց տարբերութիւններ, աւելի մեծ են, քան նոյնութիւնները, և երկրորդ՝ որ հյ. նախատառ զ ձայնի ծագումը անրս-տոյգ է ընդհանրապէս։ Աւելի մանրա-մասն խօսում է Հիւբշ. Armeniaca. IF 19, 457-480, թրգմ.
