[other alphabet] kuntha-«բութ» բառին, որ սակայն «քաջ» նշանակութեան յարմար չէ։ (Պարս-կերէնից փոխառեալ ձևերի մասին տես նաև գունդ բառի տակ)։ Վերի հատուածում Խո-րենացին ուզում է ասել թէ Արամազդ աս-տուած իրապէս չկայ. բայց կան այդ անու-նը իրենց վրայ կրող անձեր. որոնցից չոր-սը յայտնի են և որոնցից մէկն էլ Կունդ Ա-րամազդն է. (հմմտ. Ագաթ. Մեծն արին Ա-րամազդ)։ Խորենացին ակնարկում է Սա-սանեան Որմիզդ անունով թագաւորները, ո-րոնք մինչև Զ դար չորս էին և որոնցից Որ-միզդ Ա (Գ դար) կրում է «քաջ» տիտղոսը։
• խորենացու իտալական թարգմանիչը (Վենետ. 1850, էջ 84) մեկնում է պրս. kund «քաջ»։ Նոյնը նաև Լանգլուա։ Միաբան, Խոր. պատմ. ուսումն. էջ 4-7 մերժելով այս՝ բնադիրը համա-րում է կատար (իբր «գլուխ, գլխաւոր»), որ յետոյ ընդօրինակողները սրբագրել են կունդ «ճաղատ», իբր անարգական ածական Արամազդին։ Ուղիղ մեկնու-թիւնը վերի ձևով տուաւ Նումէն (Մառ), Արաքս Գ (գիրք Բ), էջ 59-62։ Պրս. kund ձևով ունի նաև Թիրեաքեան, Կարնամակ ծան. 63։ Սիօն վրդ., Հովխ 1907. 567-9 մեկնում է «գնտլիկ՝ կլո-րիկ մարմնով»։ Աւդալբէգեան ՀԱ 1926, 391-6 գւռ. կունդ, կոնդ «հաստ, մեծ, ծայր, կատար, գլուխ» բառով։

• ՆՀԲ համարում է սկունդ «շուն» բա-ռի ռամկականը։ Ինչո՞ւ չհասկանալ պարղապէս «կնտակ, ճաղատ, քաչալ»։
